Trisha Hunter - Fashionista
I'm Trisha and people keep telling me I have a great sense of style and fashion. Often times people have asked me for tips and tricks, so I thought I would start this site so I could share my thoughts and knowledge. I love fashion, visual merchandising and merchadise marketing. I would like to explore this field some more so I have done a few things to see how the industry works like being got a part time gig doing visual merchadise at Aerie by American Eagle, Modeling for local papers again, doing a few shoots here or there and then recently volunteering for Omaha Fashion Week!
- My future plans are to create something in the Fashion world that I can enjoy as well as pass onto others.

Working at Aerie
I really enjoyed doing the windows at Aerie and have learned so much about Visual Merchandising. I learned a lot about how the companies mark their merchandise, how a window is dressed, and how stocking is done for Visual Merchandising. I learned when the stocking is done, how the stores keep things organized in the back, how things are interchanged often, and also what they do with the Window dressings when they are done. I also found out retail really wasn't for me and people keep telling me I need to do retail to move further in my career, but I don't believe them and have always made my own path. Retail was something I did a time in my life. It taugt me a lot and I am thankful for that time in my life as well as for the luck that my experience was with Aerie! -
Fashion School
I want to go back to school, but don't live anywhere near LA anymore so I am quite limited to my choices. I have always loved FIDM and now that Project Runway is there, it makes it even more appealing. The Art Institute has some great online offers as well, but I am undecided for now, so we will see. If you go to a Fashion school, share with me your experiences and I may share them on my site.
